The AirShare mobile app has been updated with various new functions and features for drone pilots.
AirShare, the uncrewed traffic management (UTM) system used to help safely integrate uncrewed traffic into the airspace will be deployed for a group of New Zealand unattended aerodromes and large landowners as part of an airspace integration trial – the first being Tekapo Aerodrome.
Aotearoa New Zealand is taking further steps to advance uncrewed aircraft operations and be at the leading edge of airspace integration with the deployment of the AirShare uncrewed traffic management (UTM) system at Tāwhaki National Aerospace Centre.
The AirShare Pilot website has been updated and includes some new functions available to drone pilots such as alerts of nearby flights activated, visibility of map layers, and hours of service at Airways’ control towers.
